Conference, Live-stream and Cocktail Reception at The Times Center in New York City presented by Wormhole and Securitize.
Wormhole and partner & collaborator Securitize commissioned THE UMBRELLA to conceptualize and execute a new type of conference converging the DeFI/web3 worlds with the traditional finance world. We created a new brand ‘Tokenize” & created a brand identity for it that visualized the two worlds coming together. We designed a dynamic and interactive website which evolved into a complete portal for both registration & education about the event. The launch culminated in both a live conference for industry leaders and a live-stream for the rest of the world.
The conference was hosted at the prestigious Times Center in the NY Times Building. Guests were greeted with customized credentials linking to the day's program. As they settled into the Times Center, they discovered several lounge and co-working spaces set up for networking and lounging between talks & panels.
The conference itself featured panel discussions & keynotes from industry leaders in both traditional finance, web3, & the new US government administration. Some highlights included:
We also customized and installed a live motion-tracking AI based art installation that allowed guests to “be whatever you want to be.” Guests vocalized prompts and their bodily form would become generated out of whatever they prompted on a life-sized monolithic video display. This became an excellent user generated content experience.
We custom fabricated branding for the stage and throughout the event.
To tie the theme of converging the two finance worlds together, we used a
single concave banquette for the
panel discussions.
The rest of the space was transformed with the use of custom fabricated lighting and sculptural pieces, a step & repeat, custom fabricated bars and design forward furniture installed over both levels of the event.
Premium catering was provided throughout the day by Olivier Cheng. Upon guest arrival, guests were served gourmet tea sandwiches and small plates of beautiful and delicious bites were passed and stationed for guests to enjoy. Coffee, tea & soft drinks were served throughout the duration of the conference.
Following the conference, a sponsored Happy Hour by partner ZK Sync concluded the day on the lower level of the Times Center, complete with branded laser cut ice-cubes and another floor of decor & curated furniture lounges.
The event was open to over 400 esteemed guests & speakers, and livestreamed out to over 24k viewers from home.
